Rhonda, please tell us a little about yourself.
A little about me... I am a mother, wife, author and illustrator. I am in school full-time and a mommy full-time. I love taking pictures, being creative, drawing, and helping others.
What is the title of your book? And, please tell us a little about it.
My latest book out is "Dylan and the Croak Orleans Gang." It is about a frog traveling to Croak Orleans to fulfill his lifetime dream. While on his way there, he picks up some extra riders with talent.
What genre do you write?
I write children’s books with morals. I believe this generation of kids need inspirational books instead of all the junk on TV.
What is your favorite way to promote yourself and your book?
I market my books everywhere on social media. I use Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, my website, About.me, Blogger, Google plus, and more. You cannot have enough places with your name on it so people can find your books.
Do you have other books? (Feel free to list them.)
Yes I have many books; too many to name. But you can find a list of them on my website at www.thecroak500.com.
What is your hope for your book?
I would love to have a bestseller, so I know that our characters will inspire kids all over the world.
Besides writing, what are some of your other hobbies or interests?
I love taking pictures of butterflies and spending time with my family.
If you are a children’s author, do you illustrate your own books?
My husband, Chester McDaniel, illustrates and I fill in colors and backgrounds. I am also doing a short, little, cute story on the side; trying to illustrate it myself.
Is your book educational? If so, how so?
I have several books that are educational. "African Safari" educates the children on facts about the animals in the story. I also have an "ABC Book" for kids. I have "Sea Adventure" that shows what kind of fish are in the ocean.
Do you make your own covers?
I have used the templates on Create Space to make some. You (Jodi Desautels) created the cover of "Dylan and the Croak Orleans Gang" by using one of Chester's illustrations and adding to it. And, I have been working on some from scratch.
Do you have a blog or website?
I have a website and blog at www.thecroak500.com.
What are you working on now?
We are in the process of finishing up “Grayson the Bullying Frog.” It will inspire kid’s not to bully each other.
